Love DMX hate his habit but................

Cant be mad at DMX for speaking his mind. He’s saying what most artists probably would like to say but may be holding back because of the opportunity to work with Drake and make money. DMX worked with Aaliyah I didn’t and I still feel some type of way too, because I was a die hard  Aaliyah fan. He is absolutely right but money talks and people will shy away from the truth. Too many people on Drake’s d8ck- so they can whore it out like he did and make mad money! Go head X state your claim and represent. It's about time that veteran rappers step their game up. Go hard X and put out music that is dope! I still am a DMX fan he slipped and slipped again but he's back, you gotta respect that! He's a passionate dude!

AZEALIA BANks- I like her shes one f-a-b (flya*sb*tch)

Azealia Banks should be the HBIC

Now how come this talented female artist/rapper- Azealia Banks doesn't get more shine than Nicki Minaj?
Unbelievable I tell you, this is why I blog.
I want to show everyone that there is a seeping amount of  talent out there to support.
Hardcore talent that bust their ass!  I respect them. I like this song alot! It reminds me of  when Hip Hop was at its peak, women could shine respectfully. When dance music was in the spotlight on MTV.

Hip Hop's Hottest

While some may think " Real Hip Hop is dead!"
Others bash real talent and say "I don't like to listen to radio, it's trash!"
I, I well.............
-I AM other- I never give up on Hip Hop!
Hip Hop is a genre of music that has always taken heavy criticism but changed the lives of so many.

With that said, my ear buds are warmed up!

I cannot stop bumpin Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky! I am a big ASAP fan but have grown to like Kendrick Lamar. Kendrick is the definition of multi-talented, which is most likely why Lady Gaga is working with him. Kendick n Gaga is such an amazing opportunity for his talent to reach a wider audience. He has such a mature voice, I was in shock to find out that hes in his twenties. If you are unsure on how remarkable this young guy is- here is your chance to find out!
Kendrick Lamar-xxlmagazine.com

Also Asap Rocky is so young, fun, and free. He is so happy with being himself. I want other young boys to take on this attitude. Always Strive and Prosper.
More young people need to better themselves especially, minorities. Become the majority that makes moves-contributes positively to society.

Aaliyah - R.I.P

Aaliyah -

As time goes on we can never forget the beautiful Aaliyah. It seems as if we almost forgot about her but she has crossed my mind from time to time. Her death was tragic and unfair. When I heard her voice on the new track, " Enough Said" I was in shock! But when I realized that it was featuring Drake I nearly threw up in my mouth. Can you really consider this a genuine tribute without Missy Elliott or Timberland? It  also makes my skin crawl that he has  tattoos of someone whom he never knew. I read on further that he was put on the track to introduce the late artist Aaliyah to the younger generation of  today- then my yuck meter went slightly down.  Any-who listen to the track minus Drake, her voice is soooooo beautiful, I miss her!

Feelin 50 cent all over again

I am so amped to hear 50 cent rhyming again. I posted the video of 50 and Oprah and it was like he got soft. But I realize that he's not at all soft but has a soft side. His music is still rough and gangsta. The Lost Tape, mix tape is dope. I have been bumping this mix tape all week, I'm obsessed with it. Plus my DJ Drama crush is part of it too. It reminds me of his first album, Get Rich or Die Trying.  I saw 50 cent away at college. His performance was a big controversy. Mainly because my school was in a small town prominently "White". My school paid a large sum of money to have him perform at the prime of his career. It was the best time I had in school. So many students and staff showed their true colors-  There was so much hate. I overheard a student say "I cant believe you brought a ticket for that guy it's wrong."
He might as well have said, " Why would you pay money to see that N*gg*!" His friend didn't care what he  thought and I felt happy all over again. His friend said he doesn't care, this is a big moment for the whole town. People who never associated them self with Hip Hop music started blasting 50 cent a week before he performed, it felt so phony. The concert filled up fast-it was a " huge middle finger up" to all the racist, prejudice, bigoted, close minded HATERS. Thank you.

Oprah Talks to 50cent part 1

Oprah talks to 50 cent? Yes, it happened to check it out!

50Cent+ GUNIT + LLOYD Banks= ?

Did you watch 50cent on Oprah? I respect Oprah more and more. She keeps raising the interest level in media. I follow her and expect that I will be as  successful and effective as her. I was more in shock that she interviewed him "fitty", she even wrote that on her Twitter-lol. I think she really did a fabulous job asking him the right questions.
I saw 50 cent in a different light. I am proud  of him for acting, producing, and venturing out as an entrepreneur. But I respect his gangsta for always being true to himself. I always seem to believe every word he says, he's pretty straight forward. He's proof  that a hood N**GA can make a change for the better. He grew up!

I was also thinking about Lloyd Banks I miss hearing him rhyme. He's on ASAP ROCKY's mix tape TRILL which I LOVE. Check this track out it's called,  "Make em Stack". I get lost in his rhymes, in a good way!

Its dope I love it but where has LLoyd been?  G-Unit needs to put in more work.
Listen..............................

He sounds more loyal to Tony Yayo but I feel more loyal to Banks, how about you?

G.O.O.D IS GOOD

I respect Pusha T for going up against Weezy. Why?

I do remember Weezy saying on NY hot 97 5 years back, that he is the best rapper a live next to Jay Z. It was believable and I fell for it.

WHAT HAPPENED Weezy?

Well- YMCMB- HAPPENED.

I am all up for change but I can honestly say I have been disappointed with Lil Wayne and I saw it coming. I commented on this before when Lil Kim came after Nicki Minaj. I was like,
" Yo Wayne is dealing with a Lil kid and I hope he doesn't ruin his image or reputation  by affiliating with Nick Minaj (I consider Nicki Minaj a gimmick)."

But ultimately I respect Pusha T for speaking his mind and challenging Lil Wayne. The same challenge that Rosenberg had set up for Nicki Minaj at  Hot97 Summer Jam. Which Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj ultimately  FAILED!

Pusha T has stepped up to YMCMB. YCMB has dominated the air waves which business wise may have been an intelligent move but disrespectful in the Hip Hop Culture.
In Hip Hop Culture YMCMB has disappointed and angered many with meaningless tracks and content-less lyrics.

Yes, they DUMBED DOWN HIP HOP! Hip Hop should never be simplified but lyrical content should always be magnified.

Check out Pusha T he is talented but yes making himself and Hip Hop stay relevant. Other artists need to challenged YMCMB as well as other artist and demand real Hip Hop come back!

Is this FOR REAL?

It's safe to say that rap has gone in so many different directions.

  • The first change I remember was West Coast coming over the the East coast. I don't think it was a change but it was more of an influence. ( It helped Hip Hop move to the next level)
  • Then I remember when Ja Rule was hot and was singing a bunch of melodies on his tracks. I remember thinking "Why are rappers singing?" I liked when R&B artist sang on rap tracks. For example, Super Woman by Fabolous (google it i love it) or even Total ft Biggie "You were meant for me". And so on!
  • Then the next big change was this whole down south trend of talking nonsense! I am not gonna bring up any songs for that one but yal know. Especially those tracks with dances.
  •  NOW I come across a video that had me shaking my head. When I was at the peak of my Hip Hop obsession, I remember Onyx. I loved them all! Fredro Starr was my crush. (Remember when he was on Moesha) Any how, this clip below has me confused. Those that know me know that I am an easy going person that sees both sides.
  •  This video has my head spinning! I respect Fredro so much to think either..............
  • A. This is a joke or laugh at rap artist today.
  • B. He is trying to reach the younger generation of today.
  • C. He had change his image to sell records which goes back to B.

RAP as an ART FORM

For those of who have not seen, " THE ART of RAP " produced by Ice-T, GO!
I was fortunate enough to get invited to a private V.I.P showing of the documentary. It came as a big surprise to me and meant much more than Summer Jam ever will! (istilloveuhot97). The point is I respect Hip Hop as an art form as way back as the late 80's. I learned watching tv,listening to radio and watching my sisters grow up to it. The experiences I have I thank Hip Hop. Everything positive, motivational, and uplifting in my life always relates back to Hip Hop!

I know I am a nerd but I am proud to be a NERD! Some people have called me an intellectual. Now, I believe it thanks! Anyhow I took notes during the film. Here are my overall thoughts.

  • Ice- T respects the Hip Hop game and wants to share with the world how uplifting, inspiring, controversial, dangerous, wonderful this music is.
  • Hip Hop was developed in South Bronx and reached as far as the West coast to Ice-T.
  • Ice-T was rapping when rap didn't even have a name and Hip Hop wasn't even called Hip Hop yet.
  • Hip Hop is a culture including the 5 elements ( look it up I cant tell you everything) Rap is the delivery of lyrics. Emcee and rappers are different. (i knew that but confuse it at times)
  • The creative process needs to be respected much like every other genre of music because rappers are writers, vocalist, band members, and  instrumentalist.
  • In the 1980's rappers actually worried about the sound of their voice like R&B singers did. Mc. Lyte and Salt n Pepa mentioned this in the film. I was impressed.
  • Through out the film artists constantly brought up that their rhymes gave a message and had a purpose otherwise it was pointless. ( I can't agree enough, so true)
  • Lastly what made me so happy was how Eminem was in the film and is respected by so many emcees before his time. Red Man mentioned how much he respects Eminem. He also mentioned how rap has NO color. (Not those exact words but similar). Which is the point of the film in looking at rap as an art form- there should be no discrimination!!!
  • I love HIPHOP go see the film!

LAME, WEAK,NON-SENSE!!!!!!!!!!!

There was no credible reason that Nicki Minaj was pulled out of the summer jam show. This was so weak........
Lil Wayne said, that Nicki Minaj felt disrespected. That's how life is and when you in the public eye you get it worse. She just proved to me along with Weezy that Rosenberg was right. If Nicki Minaj was loyal to her fans and dedicated to Hip Hop she could have expressed her feeling on that M$tha Fu**in SUMMER JAM STAGE! Anyone one who lives or dies for this sH$t would have gone hard on that stage like never before! Now, I am disliking Lil Wayne more and more. Being different is wonderful great but Nicki is not amazing shes mediocre. Some people are good at rapping but are not true to the game. Nicki beat so many of us in the head waiting and waiting for this big new female talent. Overall, she has let me and Hip Hop down. I don't respect it. Peter Rosenberg is more loyal to Hip Hop more than Nicki Minaj will ever be apology are not. She is into pop singing and performing. She is not a real emcee she just came at a time when Hip Hop was weak and needed a new female face. I am disappointed in her and other female emcees who let her shenanigans play out over and over again. What is Nicki Minaj's style? Nothing! One big hype of nonsense with no strong back bone! Not a big Lil Wayne fan no more! Not a fan of YMCMB! Cory Gunz find a new click to rock wit! Drake has been rumored to be leaving YMCB, hes not about that lifestyle either it seems. Hopefully I'm wrong! Yuck! Check out this clip. I'm still disgusted!

NO B$TCH ASSNESS!!

This is for Drake and Chris Brown- NO B$TCH ASSNESS!
It's such a joke how this story is even on channel 5 news and other news stations. That's when you know it's lame. The picture of Chris Brown's chin is such a sucker flick, why post it? I would just let it be and make up. They both look dumb! But now all these rumors are flying around that Drake didn't throw the bottle someone in his entourage did.  I wouldn't expect Drake to claim he did it just so he can keep his nice guy image. It could have been true who knows. Sometimes fans and entourage do dumb stuff and create a problem. Below is the sucka ass flick of Chris Brown's chin. The only reason I could think he did this was to gain some sympathy from the public. I bet he files an assault report. Needless to say his face looks way better that what he did to Rihanna's. Love him as an artist but hes a bum for showing this!
Drake and Chris Brown FightChris Brown Bodyguard Injured

But it is definitely a big deal because Chris Brown's body guard got a head injury. So this is going to be one big legal mess. At the end I would laugh too; just like Rihanna.

** Rihanna needs to stay out of the public eye for a little bit and dip paparazzi. It also makes her look bad to others as well for creepin with all these dudes and running around half naked. I am getting worried only because I love Rihanna and this real life drama is just not a good look.

I LUV HIP HOP

I cant express how much joy, pride, and motivation I feel from last night. It's beyond words. I feel it in my heart and that is the LOVE I have for HIP HOP.  The Art of Rap confirmed my thoughts and beliefs. This music we call rap evolved into a lifestyle called HIP HOP. It's too powerful to comprehend how far it has gone. God blessed "us" especially African Americans with the gift to survive. So what do we do next? We have to stick together and grow as an " art form" as a "movement" and stop all the negativity. I respect Ice T more than ever. He is a noble man and married me to Hip Hop since I seen his documentary. He confirmed that Hip Hop and me is a marriage- " To Death Do Us Part"!!

My thoughts on NO SHOW NICKI

Nicki NO SHOW AT SUMMER JAM................
I cant believe how way off she is! Bottom line you give your fans their moneys worth. She didn't show so she walked away from her fans like a coward. Nuff said there is noooooooooo excuse for her to talk about how she gets money and disrespecting females. That line is an over kill she aint about ish ...Of course your number 1 when no one else is up against you. Please now I see what she's was about- NUTTIN! Bring real HIP HOP back, Im tired of this crap! Rock the Bells will be live! And Rosenberg GOHEAD wit your bad self! I have heard worse comments about peoples music! I dont respect you Nicki- male female-butch or whatever you gave up on your fans, next give up the rap game and stop beatin us in the head!

Listen to her (Pahleaaaaaase) ---------->http://bit.ly/LiaCEW

We Miss You, Whitney!

When it's all said in done Whitney Houston was the best singer and there will never be anyone who will be better. Although Jennifer Hudson comes close it's not the same! I respect her daughter for speaking in front of everyone she seems so humble. Everyone was waiting for Whitney"s big comeback and now it's up to Bobbi Kristina to keep her mothers memory alive and positive. R.I .P Whitney Houston!

THE WORLDS WORST PARENTS

Yuck, this video is so gross! These parents should be arrested. This was by no means funny! Poor kids may never forget this!

What do you think?

When Keepin it REAL goes ... Right!

Keepin it REAL!

This is so sweet, I teard up no lie! This just shows that celebrities are real people and go through real emotions. I admire lil Willow's honesty, tears, and genuine feelings. She is so bright and mature for her age. To be able to express her true feelings is a remarkable reflection on Will, Jada, and her Grandmother! I am so thankful for this breakthrough moment of woman hood.

Is HIP HOP on it's way back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Between DMX making a comeback, N.O.R.E's new jam,and this Naughty By  Nature track, I am AMPED! I have been beggin for real HIP HOP to come back, finally! I don't care if it takes veteran emcees to step up, lets do it, MAJOR!

N.O.R.E

Aight, My fave N.O.R.E ! I'm a fan and was into him when Pharrell produced " Super Thug"! Dead ass , what, what, what wha what! It's from then on I grew to love Pharrell and the word "grimey"! For real I don't play when it comes to my music! I love HIP HOP 4eva.

Check out this video from NORE called KENNY POWERS. Also Super Thug and Nothing!
The saga continues...................

HAPPY MOMMAS DAY!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL!

THE AWAKENING

The Awakening
My earliest thought of hip hop was the best moments of my life. It was in the late 1980’s thru the early 90’s with my sisters and little brother. It’s when MTV actually showed music videos. It’s when Ed Lover and Doc Dre had “Yo MTV raps” on lock along with Fab 5 Freddy. It’s when I wrote lyrics to all the hip hop songs I loved on the radio and memorized them. It’s when I would barely watch television and would just listen to the radio. It’s also a time when people could go out dance their ass off in a public place without worrying about getting in a fight or just being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

In the late 1980’s early 90’s I watched my sisters listen to old school rap. It filled them with joy and energy. It stood out in my mind because I don’t feel the love for hip hop music as much today like it was back then. I remember when the worst word in a rhyme was the “N” word. I don’t consider my-self old school at all but I respect those that paved the way to my passion for radio and music.

Off the top of my head I remember listening to Naughty by Nature, New Edition, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, and my favorite Bell Biv Devoe. But what made the person I am today has to be dancing. I stood in front of the television and repeated all the latest dance moves that I saw in music videos. I even watched “Club MTV” with Jodi Whatley- “wubba, wubba –goodbye”. I dreamed of being a fly girl on “In Living Color”. Almost all the dance shows I had to watch, The Grind, Dance Party USA and of course Soul Train. Movement and music made me so happy and I was good at it! It had a lot to do with Jamaican culture since we love music, food and dancing.

On the weekends at home with my sisters, we turned off the radio and had dance contests. I loved to sing so I lip sang off the radio and rapped too. I dreamed big I wanted to be famous like Queen Latifah or Moni Love or any famous strong black woman. My sister (who is no longer with us R.I.P) named Esie just got a radio for Christmas. It was the newest kind of boom box that was small and had dual cassette decks. We all loved this radio because we recorded off the radio and also dubbed albums. Yes, this was before CD’s became popular. I wasn’t rich but my family didn’t live in the projects either. But I grew up knowing the value of money. When I couldn’t buy tapes, I recorded music off the radio like I saw my sisters do. One day we jammed out to our own freestyle.

We sat in my sister’s room and we recorded over one of my old Teddy Ruxpin story tapes. You may remember when you place pieces of tape over the holes on the top of a cassette, you could record over, and well maybe you may have been too young or not even born yet. Anyhow, this day was the best day of my life. My oldest sister Carla heard us rhyming in a circle and joined in. She was the brain-iac of the family and very conservative. Well not really but that how I thought she was. We went around making up our own lyrics or any rhyme from a rap song with me and my lil brother beat boxing. To my surprise my oldest sister joined in with this

“My name is Carla D and I can rhyme I am so fresh, I am so fly!”

We all kept going because we were recording but she continued on rhyming a few more lines. When we ended we all clapped and laughed because she surprised us all. Right then and there I realized that hip hop music brings the best out of people. You don’t have to be from the hardcore slums of New York City to rhyme or be respected. I look at artists from the past like, De la Soul, Moni Love, Cool and the Gang as some of the artist that did not sell drugs or violence to make their records sell.

I remember my sister Carla telling me

“Rap used to be about having fun and dancing while showing your skills. It was about respect and not competing to sell the most records.”

“Your generation changed it to gangsta rap”

Even though I was about 9 or 10 years old, I still listened to what my sister said about my generation. She was talking mostly about me listening to Naughty by Nature and Ice Cube. I couldn’t help it, I liked thug music. But I understood what she was talking about when it came to lyrical content it had changed and it always will.

Such a great mix ASAP and Swizz.Yes, swizz taking the arts out of school is devastating. I totally agree that those children that can connect with the arts will be motivated to connect with their academics. Obama/Will Smith smart MEN

Actor Will Smith poses upon his arrival for a press conference to promote his new movie "Men in Black III" in Seoul, South Korea, Monday, May 7, 2012. (AP Photo/Lee Jin-man)
LOS ANGELES (AP)

I still find this man to be funny, talented and intelligent. I like the fact that he made such a positive statement in support on Obama's tax increase for top money earners. Phew finally this country makes an amazing change. I love Obama and Will Smith....read on!

One of Hollywood's biggest and best-paid stars is supporting President Barack Obama's call for higher taxes on the country's top earners.
Will Smith said while promoting "Men In Black III" last week that he supports the move.
"I'm very supportive of that idea," Smith told The Associated Press in an interview. "America has been fantastic to me. I have no problem paying whatever I need to pay to keep my country growing."
Obama has proposed that everyone earning $1 million a year or more should pay at least 30 percent of their income in taxes. One research group said the change would affect around 210,000 taxpayers.
Vanity Fair has reported that Smith was paid an estimated $20 million for "Men In Black III."

Eminem Speaks on Adam Yauch’s Passing

hiphopnmore

If you have followed Eminem’ career, you would know that he has always cited the Beastie Boys as one of his influences while coming up in the rap game. In a statement to MTV, Marshall reacted to Adam Yauch’s death in the following words:

“Adam Yauch brought a lot of positivity into the world and I think it’s obvious to anyone how big of an influence the Beastie Boys were on me and so many others. They are trailblazers and pioneers and Adam will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, Mike D., and Ad-Rock.”

Nas, who worked with the band on a track called ‘Too Many Rappers’ off their last album Hot Sauce Committee Part Two says:

“One of my greatest moments in music was when I worked with the Beastie Boys. … Now today I’m hearing our brother is gone. I prayed this would not happen. MCA was so cool, man. We had great talks about what it was like for them in the beginning, getting into the rap game. I’ll never forget that experience for the rest of my life. MCA is a true legend who influenced me. God bless his soul and his loved ones.”

R.I.P to MCA "Beastie Boy" Member

I am finally writing about Adam Yaucht former member of the Beastie Boys. Those who love Hip Hop should take a moment to get familiar with how iconic the Beastie Boys were. I hate how things can become racial but the Boy's paved the way for Caucasian emcees. So it baffles me how people can still judge Caucasian rappers. To all my youth there were white emcees before Eminem look it up! But most importantly I respect artists and their hard work.

Below I want you to see a clip of L.L. Cool J speaking about MCA's death look how he is gets so emotional. Most importantly listen to what he said about hip hop, race, and culture. Leave comments!

Creepy Crawly FYI

CREEPY: FYI

Those that know me know I like scary, creepy action packed, suspense movies, but this gave me a ton of chills. With the help of Rodale and Yahoo here is some creepy crawly information.  Prepare to be grossed out.

Thrips

At anywhere from 1/25 to 1/8 of an inch long, these tiny little winged parasites are legally allowed in apple butter, canned or frozen asparagus, frozen broccoli, and frozen Brussels sprouts.

 Aphids

Those same little green or black bugs that can destroy a bouquet of flowers can infiltrate your frozen veggies, particularly spinach, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts.

Mites

These tiny white bugs are common in wheat and other grains that have been stored for a while, but expect to eat a few with your frozen vegetables.Storage and grain mites can cause allergic reactions as the dust mites common in homes.

Maggots

If you’ve ever eaten canned food, you’ve probably also eaten a maggot. These disgusting little critters abound in things like canned mushrooms, canned tomatoes, tomato paste, and pizza sauces, as well as fresh or frozen Maraschino cherries. Mushrooms are by far the worst: 20 maggots are allowed for every 100 grams of drained mushrooms, compared with between 1 and 5 for every 500 grams of tomato products.

Fruit Flies

Buy a piece of fruit covered in fruit flies, and you can wash them off. Buy a can of citrus juice, and you’ll be chopping on five fruit flies with every 8-ounce cup of juice. Grab an 8-ounce handful of raisins and you could be eating as many as 35 fruit-fly eggs.

Not sure how to pick the best produce? No problem. Master the Produce Aisle and you'll know what, when, and where to buy all year-round.

Corn Ear Worms

Corn is  prone to insect infestations, but in most cases, it’s easy to avoid eating the ear worms that burrow into corncobs and eat the silk.  However, canned sweet corn will come with some extra crunch from all the larvae, skins, and skin fragments allowed by the FDA.

Cowpea curculio

Love black-eyed peas? Buy them dried and cook them yourself, rather than buying them frozen or canned. A can of black-eyed peas, cow peas, or field peas may contain an average of five or more cowpea curculio larvae, which will grow into dark brown, beetle-like weevils that infest all manner of peas and beans.

Caterpillars

Fuzzy, ugly caterpillars are supposed to turn into beautiful butterflies for people to marvel at—not eat in a mouthful of frozen spinach. But along with the 50 or so aphids, mites, and thrips allowed in 100 grams of spinach, you may also find yourself munching on caterpillar larvae and larval fragments.

I LOVE NEW YORK

To all that have never been to NY it's amazing. It's full of amazingt people and the atmosphere is like no other city. I have lived in Florida and I came back after 1 year. I can't imagine my life in another city besides New York. New Yorkers don't give up and The Towers are going back up BABY, Better Than Ever! Taller than the  Empire State building. WE are BACK NEW YORK!

Shes BAAACCCCCCCCK!

I am so glad that Lil Kim is back on the scene. But I am disappointed that there are barely any other female emcees stepping up on the scene. C'mon girls, Nicki Minaj has given way too many people a run for their money. It's sad because I know their are so many female emcees better than her- so WTF?!

Kiss FM off air after 30 years

Wow, I'm gonna miss this station. I grew up on Kiss FM, I used to record off  the radio on tapes. I would turn off the t.v. and listen to radio, write the lyrics to all my favorite songs, and of course call in hoping I would be get on air. Little did I know that I would love radio and be on my college radio station. I even remember listening to Wendy Williams on here. This station was like how Hot97 is now. It was the most popular urban station for 18-34 year olds. As it's listeners grew up so did the station as they played more r&b. We will miss Kiss FM mwah- kiss-kiss!

Zimmerman $200,000 in donations? WTF!

Why,why, why people? If you gave this man money may you rot in hell. Anyone who donated money to this man agrees with his actions. No one likes a snitch, rat, or play cop, murderer, and that's all he is.  I tried hard not to believe this was a racial issue against Trayvon Martin and Black people but what else can I think. Please, this is an outrage! What can we do to help support Trayvons family?

Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9q_hGRSfOM

It all started in 1992. "Oooooooooh on the TLC tip", was released and I became attached to the song," What about your friends". This song represented how girls could be tomboys and it was cool. It was cool to be yourself. This was the anthem for me and my best friends.TLC had the best lyrical content of their time as a girl group. When I was in 6th grade, me and two of my good friends became closer from TLC. We related to their style, voice, and personalities. I adopted the image and style of  Left Eye because I loved to rhyme. To this day we still remember TLC and how it defined our friendship, it may seem silly but at the time it meant so much. It saddened me when Left Eye died 10 years ago. I felt in a way that part of me died too, since I admired her so much. It was so tragic and disturbing.
May Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes Rest In Peace!!!

State exams  are not just stressful on you. Some of your best teachers really  wish you the best. All you can do is your best! Stay focused, pace yourself, and you will do your best. :)

Oprah admits to a mistake

According to TMZ ,Oprah has admitted that creating the OWN Network was a giant mistake.
She added, "If I knew then what I know now, I might have made different choices. If I were writing a book about it, I could call the book '101 Mistakes.'"

Me (Lil Opra):

I love the OWN network I just wish that it had more programs on it. I enjoyed watching the program that had women who were married to men in prison with life sentences. I found it interesting that there was a bunch of women dedicating their lives to men in prison, sad but true. Also we cannot forget the big interview with Bobbi Kristina. Sigh, I love the network lets help boost its rep. C'mon Oprah I am on your side. Your network needs to be promoted more.

You Can Do it TOO!

As some of you may know I am  a  HUGE fan of Pharrell Williams. I admire all that he continues to do. He motivates me to reach for the stars and never give up.

Fly or Die. (N.E.R.D)

Well   I refuse to die right now so I must FLY. (Mz. Dee)

His inspirations are beyond words! I love how he captures a wide range of  fans outside of music.

This fall, Pharrell Williams will release his first travel memoir titled, "Places and Spaces I’ve Been." The book will be written by Pharrell and feature contributions from Jay-Z, Ambra Medda, Nigo, and Takashi Murakami. It's set to be on shelves on October 16, 2012.

Apologies are not always GENUINE!

I think that an apology can't bring a life back and holds no merit in this case. He thought the person was a few years younger than him, either way it makes no sense! He took it to far and should stop playing cop. Actually he will stop playing cop. But it wont be safe for him to leave jail, I tell you that much. Just like Casey Anthony he should run, run, run far away!!!!!!!!!!!!1

SICKOS SHOULD ROT!!

All the porn heads that pretended to be Justin Bieber really need to be put on blast! How nasty and low can people be. I couldn't bare to hear all the details. With this news and the staff caught viewing child porn in a school in NY, my stomach turned. Yuck! These are the types of people that should be slapped repeatedly! Sigh #sicksadworldletscatchthesefools
Hey, I hope Britney gets this gig on XFactor. So many people( including I) would love to see her personality shine. All jokes aside this girl has been through a lot and turned things around. She is the realest pop star out there doing it big,  brilliant!  #respectyourhustle

Stresssssssssssssssss

Damn stress-

Shout out to all the kiddos taking the state exams this week,I realize the stress and struggle that some may experience. I been there done that and still go through it! Just always remember to respect those teachers that always respected you enough to care about your education. You don't have to like them but if they truly are genuine you should like them. Hate to preach but there is a lot of negativity around- kiddos take responsibility for your own actions as well. Good luck, I'm exhausted!

BIG Fan of ASAP Rocky ( that pretty mutha f$cka)

One of my favorite emcees-ASAP Rocky and ASAP Mob. Finally, I see a mix of talent that pays homage to veteran emcees, the right way. The right way to me is by embracing their influence, shouting them out,and also reinventing old school hip hop styles. For example, one of my favorite songs, "Wassup", the chorus reminds me of Bone Thugs and Harmony but it's not, it's A$AP Rocky. His lyrical content and beats are all  different sounds and rhymes that sound familiar but are different. Most of all I respect that he is true to himself and this rap game. He stresses that he is just a regular dude. He is extremely likable ! I wish more teens use their smarts to get ahead in life, like him.

Wassup ----->

I MISS 2PAC

This morning on Hot97 one of my favorite radio station here in the big NYC. I listen to Cypher sounds (have a lil crush) Rosenberg (have a lil crush) and K Foxx (love her)! I was jamming out to Tupac, And they kept saying, " Tupac's back". I new he wasn't alive (but I thought that was clever to say it) but wanted to know why he was brought up. I love and admire Tupac as an artist dead and alive. He had so much to offer young, hood rats of then and even so today. His poetic, flow, real, rugged, rawness appealed to many. (Just add to pay my respects real quick). I cried when he passed away but I felt honored to hear that Snoop Dogg had a hologram of Tupac in his show. I love how we have such wonderful technology that can create something so real that provokes emotion. View the hologram here ---------------> http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/04/16/tupac-hologram-coachella-dr-dre-idea/

Stay True 2 Yourself!

People always say they keep it real. "I'm real", all this real, real, real. You hear people say it but when it's you, you feel it. As you progress in life you make decisions that may have not been the best choice, but felt right at that time. You evolve when you make decisions, say things and do things without  hesitation. No hesitation to think twice of what others will say, act, or do to make you think differently of yourself. It's when people make comments, look at you a certain way- like they are judging you, that upsets us. Haters, yup those idiots that will try to emotionally destroy you. But what it all comes down to is how well you know yourself and how confident you are enough to trust your instincts. I write this only to let you know that I am in a place in my life where I will say and do what I feel, without a care in the world. I mean that in the most humble way. I feel good in my skin to comment on what I like and what I  absolutely don't like. Also I stand up for what I believe in. I truthfully don't care what others think about me to the point where I would doubt myself. #motivational speech
