Happy Birthday to Oprah!
For those of you who don’t know Oprah Winfrey has been an inspiration for me for about the past 10 years. My nickname Lil Opra was given to me by students that I had 4 years ago. I guess they saw qualities in Oprah that they saw in me too. I am honored to be considered a younger version of Oprah, she is a genius. I decided to drop the H on the end because my first name starts with an H so it’s not really dropped because it’ still a part of me (I’m a deep chic lol). I changed the spelling also because I don’t want to be another Oprah. I am not trying to be Oprah on purpose. I want to motivate and inspire people (especially of color) to do better in life. I worked hard and will continue to work hard, like Oprah did. She could care less what people think of her and she’s intimidating. She didn’t have to sell sex or sell her soul to make it rich. Oprah followed her passion and used education as a stepping stone to get what she wants. Not only is Oprah smart but she is kind. She is filthy rich and gives back to those less fortunate, I have to respect that. I respect those that start from the bottom and bust their ass to the top and stay successful. If there one thing that Oprah has that I want it is to remain successful and stay wealthy in my heart and mind. That’s it! With that being said Happy Birthday Oprah your still rockin at 60.
